L.A Dance Centre

L.A Dance Centre was founded in September 1994 in Yateley, by sisters Lynne MacRae and Alison Walden, and moved to Fleet (their hometown) in April 2007.  Classes are held at The Key Centre (formerly Elvetham Heath Community Centre); at the new Hart Leisure Centre; and at the new Church Crookham Community Centre on Crookham Park .

Although perceived by many youngsters as just an enjoyable hobby, many parents have recognised that dance has helped their child gain in confidence; develop poise, co-ordination and an appreciation of music and rhythm; and helped them to understand the value of being a team player.  It can also encourage recognition by students that individual effort and contribution not only has a direct influence on their personal achievement, but also has a fundamental effect on team success.

Students are encouraged (but not obliged) to mark their progress with formal qualifications and, for those who wish, there are regular sessions of I.D.T.A and I.S.T.D examinations.  We are immensely proud that students have achieved a 100% success rate throughout the 28 years L.A Dance Centre has been teaching - with many students being placed in the Distinction category.

Periodically, students are offered the opportunity to  showcase their skills at our shows and we are delighted to continue to present these at The Princes Hall, Aldershot - where the combination of a professional venue with highly skilled and experienced staff can only enhance our productions and the experience for our students.
